We are beyond excited to bring The Peterborough Kids’ Fest to
The East of England Showground in February 2020!
Aimed at children aged 1-14, there are over 35 FREE activities packed into the festival, the hardest thing is deciding what to do first...
We’ve got a HUGE amount of inflatable fun with our Knights and Princess and Dragon inflatable obstacle courses - do you dare to take them on? There’s a massive disco where everyone can bust their best moves and our gigantic roller skating rink will keep the kids spinning round and round, while the Helter Skelter will take you to dizzy new heights. Or if you want to go to another dimension, we have VR Happy to guide you through a virtual reality experience.
Vivacity are hosting our multi-sports arena which will be jam-packed with action. There's a different sport every hour for you to try no matter your age or ability. If dancing is more your thing, there's contemporary dancing with the excellent Megan and her eponymous Dewey School of Dance. Or perhaps you fancy trying out martial arts? If so, head over to the karate workshop led by Hicks Karate School.
For the artsy among you there's lots to choose from. We have circus workshops and performances from the fabulous Panic Circus who have been in the business for over 40 years. If you want to learn how to take a better photo then head over to the photography workshop to meet our expert photographer Caroline-Ann. She'll be helping everyone master the art of taking a good photo on a mobile phone (parents, you might learn something too!). We also have story telling and the arts and crafts area will be glittery, sticky and messy as we create a huge piece of art for the Peterborough City Hospital Amazon Children's ward. Optional donations can be given to help support the brilliant work of this incredible children's ward.
And if the energetic activities become all too much, there are plenty of quieter activities too. We have Hamerton Zoo Park bringing some of their exotic animals and Wycomb Pastures Mobile Farm have lots of small animals to cuddle. There is face painting, mindfulness and there’s also a quiet tent for when you just need to take five.
For the under 5s there's a dedicated zone filled with messy play from Kiddi Caru nurseries, imaginative play from the wonderful Sarah of Hartbeeps Peterborough, and Hannah from Sounds Right Phonics is also running sessions on language skills. If that's not enough, there's two inflatables to choose from, soft play and didi cars to race around on, zoom zoom!
Don't forget all our activities on site are free
